Lunchbox Packs is a hydration pack born out of the music festival community. The hydration pack has a slew of unique features, most notably anti-theft locking zippers and a customizable external "skin" to allow festival goers to bring their personality to their packs.
I was initially discovered by the Lunchbox team through my own skin DIYs and painted festival fan designs through Instagram. Since then, my work with Lunchbox has spanned production fan designs, a dance music inspired merchandise line, and a variety of production and concept pack skin designs.
When designing for Lunchbox, I typically look for themes popular within the dance music industry and draw inspiration from feedback within their community board. My workflow with the team typically starts with a moodboard, initial illustrations, and ends with a couple rounds of revisions with feedback from the broader team.
Pack Skin Designs
As a customizable part of their ever popular anti-theft hydration pack, the outer skin allows buyers to express themselves and personalize their pack. With Lunchbox I've created 4 original illustrations that have been released over the last couple years among their quarterly skin launches. In addition to production skins, I helped Lunchbox create conceptual skins for future festival partnerships, including initial concepts for their current Insomniac collaboration.
Dance Music Apparel Line
Conceptualized and created a series of five different shirt and hat designs to represent parts of the dance music community and various music genres so that festival-goers could represent both Lunchbox and their favorite parts of the music experience. This line was sold as a limited release item.
Festival Fan Designs
This fan was designed initially as a loyalty gift to members of the Lunchbox family, but has been added to the line of merchandise sold at their festival booths. The design was intended to be striking and make it easy for friends to spot and gather around.
